Chinese Painting

When ink is used for painting instead of tubes of color, it creates a whole different world full of imagination. It only takes a few strokes to make the art come to life. With Chinese Painting, both life and fantasy combine to conjure the magic of traditional brush art. Emotions and fears could be expressed through this Art style in abstract ways where as the brush travels across paper, it leaves a mark inside everyone's hearts. Mixing ink with water creates different shades of black as well as smudges to make large objects easier to paint, like mountains and houses. More fine details require thinner brush tips. Scattering is a technique used to add color and enlightenment to a piece of art. It can be done by dipping the brush in water, then in paint, and shake it lightly above the canvas. Thus, splotches of color appear, creating the glare ring of the sun. For two years, I have done Chinese Painting. However, to much of my sorrow, I no longer continue down this path due to the move to the United States. Thus, my ability declined dramatically, and I am afraid I could no longer produce the same quality of art as I did before. I would love to pick up this skill that I have lost once more. My favorite topics to paint with ink are fish, shrimp, and crabs because they have clear segments of body parts, which makes the start and end of brush strokes clean and precise.
